Narrative Description of the Project:
A?Seeb street section between Palace R/A and Bait al Barka R/A is presently dual carriageway with two lanes of traffic for each direction. The length of this section is approximately 9.0 km. With Tender No PRE/09/013 of Muscat Municipality (Dec 2009) it was proposed to design and build the third lane for each traffic direction plus a series of new road provisions like road lighting, sidewalks, non passable median barrier etc. Improvement of service roads is also part of Scope of Work. Desert Line Projects LLC was awarded of the Design and Build Contract for this road portion, named Section 2, and upon Client?s direction, appointed Renardet S.A. & Partners as Design Consultant. The T.o.R. of aforementioned Tender Documents prescribe the road to be upgraded to ?all weather? whilst it is presently provided of two irish bridges and two irish crossings at major wadi crossings. Throughout the design activities carrying out the Designer found deep and cooperative attitude of both the Client and the Employer.

2) Traffic Study
3) Perform a hydrology study and hydraulic design to determine the drainage structures
4) Design the horizontal and vertical alignment
5) Design all necessary bridges and other elements
6) Prepare detailed design and cost estimate
7) Coordination with concerned authorities to obtain their approval on the design.
